I was born and raised in Portland, OR. I moved so SoCal in 2011 to start my nursing career and get out of the rain! I have a Bachelors of Science in Human Physiology and Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. After working in physical therapy for about a year, I returned to school to get my nursing degree. I am currently a Registered Nurse working in the field of integrative medicine and women’s health. I have always loved working out and especially running. I joined a marathon team in college and have been hooked on marathons ever since! I will be running my 10th marathon at the end of this month. I discovered yoga after enduring a running injury and immediately fell in love. It is the perfect combination between my love for exercise and my love for alternative health practice. I believe yoga has so many benefits beyond just the physical. It In addition to core work, stretching and deep breathing, yoga provides a meditative space for those of us who cannot sit still to meditate. I believe my practice not only makes me a better runner, but a happier, stronger and more peaceful individual.
